The Kuinua Project, LLC is a mission-driven, veteran-owned education consulting firm committed to intentional thriving and human development across academic, community, and leadership ecosystems. We provide holistic, person-centered education support services that prioritize the well-being, identity, and success of learners and leaders, especially those from historically marginalized populations.
We support organizations, institutions, and individuals as they work to develop their inclusive, culturally responsive learning practices. Additionally, we provide coaching and academic services to individuals, families, and teams through a brain-based approach that values neurodiversity and focuses on clients’ desired outcomes.

Strategic guidance for schools, organizations, and community partners focused on equity, program development, and systems transformation to enhance milieu and sense of belonging.
Holistic academic support including mentorship/rites of passage program development/evaluation, social-emotional learning supports, special education IEP (Individualized Education Plan) support, study circles, and mindfulness programs. Specialized supports for parents, children in foster care, military, and incarcerated populations.
Individual and group coaching for parents, students, educators, and leaders—centered on well-being, performance, and purpose-driven growth.

Founded by a U.S. military veteran, humanistic psychologist, and ICF-trained coach, The Kuinua Project blends lived experience, research-based methods, and deep collaboration to create lasting impact.

Meet the Founder
Dr. Theo Holt is an educator, coach, and humanistic psychologist dedicated to advancing equity, well-being, and human potential through transformative education practices.
Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, by way of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Holt brings over 15 years of experience supporting student success across K–12 and higher education settings.
Dr. holds a B.S. and M.S. in Therapeutic Recreation with a Minor in Psychology from Southern University and A&M College, as well as a Doctorate in Psychology: Consciousness and Society from the University of West Georgia. His research and professional work are rooted in supporting student thriving—particularly for those who have been historically underserved and systemically marginalized.
A proud U.S. military veteran, Dr. Holt is also an Ironman race finisher who embodies resilience and holistic wellness in both life and leadership. His interdisciplinary background includes teaching, mentoring, program development, and leadership coaching, and he integrates mindfulness, therapeutic recreation, and social-emotional learning into his work.
When he’s not working alongside communities and institutions to create meaningful change, Dr. Holt enjoys outdoor adventures, quality time with his family and a good suspense movie.
